Recruiting new applicants from the neighborhood - making cold calls to neighbors; Making warm calls to program participants; Canvassing homes, churches, and businesses in neighborhood; Making phone calls and keep up with emails; Leading groups of volunteers to canvass homes in 77021 for housing applicant leads.
Following up with interested parties
Assisting applicants with filling out applications
Helping applicants retrieve their credit scores
Inputting data into excel spreadsheets
Case management of applicants helping them move through the program - Improve credit; Make budget; Ensure up to date on taxes; Verify qualifications met
Facilitate Housing meetings where an expert might come in or show up virtually to provide instruction on some aspect of buyer readiness or home ownership
Performs other work related duties as assigned.
Must be able to work flexible hours.
Hours are not guaranteed but we expect to be able to offer 15-20 hours per week. This position is not permanent. As Agape Development recruits enough applicants and helps them become homeowners, the hours and responsibilities will decrease and eventually end.
Some college OR 1 year of case management experience.
Ability to use computer, cell phone/tablet applications with limited training.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Customer service oriented.
Must be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task.
