Director of Children's Ministry

Responsibilities:

Supervising, Leading, and Equipping Children’s Ministry Staff–

● Conduct daily staff meetings to ensure staff are prepared to run programming

● Train staff in how to use different bible and reading curriculum

● Supervise staff with regard to their job description

○ This includes any disciplinary action

Creating, Planning, Implementing and Evaluating Programs

● Create and follow an established ministry plan

● Create and follow a detailed ministry budget

● Create daily lesson plans for programming

○ Plans reflect meeting ministry objectives with chapel, reading and writing activities, and creativity/movement activities

○ Make sure to have all necessary supplies for each program

● Provide timely information for administrative and fundraising departments

○ This includes volunteer needs, attendance, outcomes, and qualitative reports

○ Coordinate with Amanda to get volunteers and resources

Community Engagement and Recruitment

● Build good rapport with parents and local schools

● Flyer and network the neighborhood for new participants

● Participate in the ministry team’s events
