In Person Opportunities

BBC Reading Assistant

At Capacity - Please let us know if you would like to be added to the waitlist. Volunteers are needed on Tuesdays from 4:00-5:30pm to read one-on-one with a child. This is a weekly commitment for the rest of the school year. We are following COVID protocols, but volunteers will be in close proximity with a child during this time. Masks are required and we have hand sanitizer easily available for use.

Group Work Days

Join us as we weed the landscaping around the building and do trash pickup on the surrounding blocks. signup.agapedevelopment.org

Teen Program Assistants

The neighborhood teens will begin meeting weekly on February 2nd from 4:00-6:30pm, with a different focus each week: Instructional/How to; Bible Study; Volunteer Service; Fun Activity. The volunteer commitment is a minimum of twice a month to assist with programming and small groups.

Alternative Ways To Get Involved

Prayer Walk Lunch and Snacks

Every other Tuesday the Ministry staff walk the neighborhood and talk to our neighbors. Staff see how families are doing, what is happening in their lives at the moment, and ask for prayer requests. Many of our neighborhood residents have suffered income loss due to COVID-19 restrictions. We would like to be able to provide a meal to these families as we visit and minister with them each week.

Women's Fellowship Dinner

Help support the Women's Ministry by providing a meal. Agape's Women's Fellowship meets in-person once a month. This is a Bible study/support group that encourages the women of the neighborhood in their spiritual growth. Sign up to provide a meal at signup.agapedevelopment.org. Meals do need to be individually packaged.

Program Speaker

Program Speaker We'd love for you to share your expertise and hobbies with our program participants. What are you knowledgeable on that would benefit our neighbors or provide a new experience for them? Can you share about nutrition? How to apply for college? What is work etiquette and why is it important? *This could potentially be done in-person with COVID protocols in place.

Snacks are provided to both the children and teens during program time. Snacks can be delivered in person or sent to the office via Amazon.

Holiday Celebrations

Help provide a fun holiday party for our participants!

Trade/Skilled Services

Donate your services as an electrician, plumber, exterminator, painter, handyman, or carpet installer for one of the facilities or Gateway homes.

Group Projects

Although we try to complete our group projects on the work days, we occasionally have one-off projects that need to be completed. Please email for more information and project availability.
